  4. Anju Khattar says:

very true sanjib……………but most of the times we let our heart rule the head

  5. Alpana Swarup says:

So agree! Advice is wisdom…give only to the thirsty! Unsolicited advice is like gargle water…it’s only gonna be spit out! Such a person is one who is not ready to shed his/her inertia and is not willing to bring change in his/her life. Wisdom has both the mind and the heart in it–discretion/logic as well as compassion together. Only the genuine seeker soaks it up and only such a one can be benefited by it. :)

  6. Anjali Bhargava says:

    wow Alpana very well explained

  7. Prashanti Pandit says:

True. “Advice is like snow – the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper in sinks into the mind~ Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Unsolicited advice will always backfire…

  8. Alpana Swarup says:

    thx Anjali! All Guruji’s wisdom really… :)

  9. Parag Shah says:

Similar to a teaching in Christianity and followed by Dr. Usui in Reiki: Never throw pearls before a swine…

  10. Prashanti Pandit ‎ says:

@Parag: In a lighter vein, and just for fun–ur quote here reminded me of something similar–”Alimony is like buying hay for a dead horse!”

  11. Alpana Swarup says:

That’s a good one too Parag!

  12. Parag Shah ‎ says:

@ thanks Alpana and everyone for seconding it…

    @Prashanti: That’s a nice one… lol

  13. Belinda Joubert says:

  14. Saurav Joshi says:

True, Never ever waste your words of advice to those who don’t require that, because later they might just laugh at you. The person who sincerely requires the advice will certainly have respect for it.

  15. Sneha Sharaff says:

this is something hardly any of us follow.. we do give free advice coz that is the easiest thing to do but do we actually think from the heart..?????????..!!

  16. Anjana Chawla says:

well said Sanjib……but this habit of giving free unwanted advice is so deeply embedded in most ppl that u keep getting it……gud day.

  17. Vasundhara Hemant Deshpande says:

    Point noted.

  18. Romy Sanjeev says:

    ‎:-) :-)

  19. Rekha Malhotra says:

Remember that althougth they mean well.. others dont always see things from your perspective…so one who gives us adivice not necesarily can think from our perspective and to whom we give dont necesarily we can think from their perspective so sometime if we give advice and other dont agree to it sitll we should not fee that they have ignored our advice ..ou perspective of thinking wil match with their and then only we can convince someone…and then only our advice will be valuable to them to act..

  20. Seema Bhola says:

Very true Sanjib ji.Nobody likes 2 receive advices..coz there r too many free fake advicers everywhere. No matter how great one speaks he will b judged only n only by his actions. Actions speak louder than words.Only a great actor can b a great advicer. And great actors only act. They speak n advice through their own actions. By practically following that advice in their own lives..Then only words can come from d depths of heart..n only then those true words become so powerful 2 penetrate n touch other’s heart. It’s not necessary 4 a true actor weather he speaks or not..like in movies..dubbing can b done. What matters is his actions..his speaking attracting advicing deeds..
